Violence stemming from the United Nations decision to partition Palestine has resulted in a dozen deaths in the Holy Land and Syria and brought the threat of war from the 33,000,000 Arabs clustered in the Middle East.
Eight Jews died violently in Palestine and police blamed Arabs , who were roving around in armed bands.
The United States was under insulting attacks from Arab demonstrations in Egypt and Syria because this country supported partition. Russia also was the butt of mob violence in Syria, where
