Registration Terms & Rules
In order to proceed, you must agree to the following:
MEIC USER AGREEMENT

· I understand any of my communications on MEIC may be monitored by MEIC staff.


· I understand that I may only use the MEIC site as it was intended to be used.


· I will not provide on-line Internet users with MEIC related information without authorization from the appropriate authority.


· I will adhere to the security policies of MEIC


· I will not engage in any illegal activity in connection with my use of MEIC, including, but not limited to, hacking, cracking, or the unauthorized transmission or receipt of proprietary material (e.g., copyright video works, audio works, software, or publications, as well as trade marks or service marks)


· I understand that I may be prosecuted under federal law for unauthorized access.


· I will not harass other members.


· I will not conduct on-line activities to assess network security without written consent from MEIC.


· I will report any observed attempts at violating MEIC security or privacy to MEIC.


· I have read the above and agree to abide by the requirements set forth therein. I understand that any violation of this agreement may result in the loss of my MEIC account. I further understand that disciplinary action, up to and including prosecution, may be taken if I fail to abide by any of the requirements of this agreement.


· Conducting personal, for-profit transactions or business.


· Transmitting sexually suggestive, pornographic, or obscene materials.


· Transmitting any material that a reasonable individual may find personally offensive or inappropriate.


· Conducting any fundraising activity not specifically sponsored, endorsed, or approved by MEIC.


· Transmitting material that expresses or promotes discriminatory attitudes toward race, gender, age, nationality, religion, or other groups including, but not limited to, protected groups identified in Executive Order 1996-9, Equal Employment Opportunity.


· Attempts to "hack," "crack," or alter internal or external computer security systems.


· Computer sabotage through the intentional introduction of computer viruses and the like.


· Promoting any activities that are prohibited by local, state, or federal law or MEIC rules of conduct.


· Violating or infringing on the rights of any other person.


· Using any other authorized user's password and/or equipment to conduct unacceptable Internet activities.


· Harassing or threatening activities including, but not limited to, the distribution of defamatory, fraudulent, intimidating, abusive, or offensive material.


· Transmitting or receiving any proprietary material, such as copyrighted software, publications, audio or video files, as well as trademarks or service marks without the owner's permission.


· Attempting to assess, bypass, or alter any network security without consent, or restricting use and efficiency of any network system.


· Promoting any unethical behavior or activities that would bring discredit of the MEIC community.


· Any other Internet use that is deemed inappropriate by the MEIC staff and is communicated as such to authorized Internet users.
