U.S. Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack in Istanbul, Turkey
United States united with Turkey against terrorism, says State spokesman
The United States strongly condemns the February 9 terrorist attack in Istanbul, Turkey, in which more than a dozen people were injured, including one young boy, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said.
“Our sympathies go out to the victims and their families,” McCormack said in a statement released February 9. “The United States stands united with our partner, Turkey, in the fight against terrorism and in the pursuit of democracy and justice.”

TERRORIST BOMBING IN ISTANBUL
The United States strongly condemns the terrorist attack today in Istanbul, Turkey in which 14 people were injured, including one young boy. We understand that the bombing took place in an internet café next door to a police station, and that six of the casualties were policemen. Our sympathies go out to the victims and their families. The United States stands united with our partner, Turkey, in the fight against terrorism and in the pursuit of democracy and justice.
