Ok final examples of what I am talking about with the thread Titles.
1st example:
Poster X posts an article and gives no commentary or analysis of their own or the post is entirely for the purpose of publishing an article.
Poster X posts the title “U.S.: 'Roj TV Must Be Shut Down'”
However, the article title is:
“The United States urged Denmark to shut down the PKK-supported Roj TV channel”
The thread title is this case WILL NOT be permitted. Reasons, because the post is either for the purpose of publishing an article and nothing else, the Title should match the article title. Moreover, authors have copyright concerns and do email me to modify articles.
2nd Example
Poster X has an opinion of Roj TV and wishes for Roj Tv to be shut down.
Therefore, Poster X posts a thread with the title “Roj TV Must Be Shut Down”
Then writes something along the lines of “Roj Tv does x y and z and here is an article the shows U.S. concern over the matter….
This example WILL be permitted because the post is an opinion but uses an article to support the opinion.
3rd Example
Therefore, Poster X posts a thread with the title “US: Roj TV Must Be Shut Down”
Then writes something along the lines of “Roj Tv does x y and z and here is an article the shows U.S. concern over the matter….
HOWEVER, this title uses “U.S.:” thus makes a statement in the title that is not reflected in the article. The U.S. did not make that statement.
This example WILL NOT be permitted, because while the poster has an opinion the title they chose did not reflect the article they used as a source of support and basically pushes and creates a fallacy.
[b]4th Example
Poster X posts title “Terrorist Group X strikes again”
Poster X then gives some commentary, Terrorist Group X is x y and z and does x y and z. Poster X then uses an article that states “Terrorist Group X claims responsibility for X”
Because commentary was given and it is a known and provable fact that Terrorist Group X has had previous attacks, the title is not creating a fallacy.
Another would be Poster X posts “Islamic Terrorist Group strikes again.” Then gives an opinion and uses an article for support that states “Terrorist Group X claimed responsibility for x” If Terrorist Group X has claimed to be Muslim at any time or proven to be, then Poster X is not creating a fallacy.
Both examples WILL BE permitted.
Note while some examples allow freedom because the post is an opinion, posts WHERE DIRECT ACCUSATIONS THAT ARE NOT PROVALBE OR INCITEFUL will not be allowed. They fall under the normal posting rules, just use common sense when creating a title.
