Turkish Labor Minister Pledges more Cooperation with Azerbaijan

Turkey's Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Bashesgioglu has pledged more cooperation regarding labor and social security between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
During his visit to Azerbaijan, Minister Bashesgioglu and an accompanying Turkish business delegation were received by Sattar Mehbaliyev, the Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (ACTU) in the Azeri capital of Baku on Friday.
Having thanked for the warm welcome they received, Bashesgioglu remarked that they had observed the social and economic development of Azerbaijan.
The visiting minister highlighted that the cooperation concerning labor and social security between Turkey and Azerbaijan would be expanded even further.
Bashesgioglu also stated that that the next meeting of the permanent joint commission would be held in Turkey. However, the exact date has not yet been designated.
ACTU Chairman Mehbaliyev underlined that the meetings established with trade unions of the two Turkic countries were very significant.
The scheduled meetings between the Turkish delegation, Azeri Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and the Azeri parliament were canceled due to overloaded programmes of the two top officials.
The visiting Turkish delegation have been holding talks in Azerbaijan since Wednesday.
The Turkish delegation, headed by the labor minister, arrived in Baku at the invitation of his Azeri counterpart Fuzuli Alekberov for a series of meetings in Baku until Sunday.
