i did read all the posts and you still have not provided me with a link to this fabled UN report.

please post one to retain credibility, or you are jut another of the dozens of turks that post lies and falsified documents about armenia in an effort to discredit them as a nation.

http://www.gfmer.ch/Endo/Reprod_health/Rep...l#Health_Status

Since you are so prejudiced about us Turks I posted you a link from Genova healt organisation and the author is an ermeni Dr. Btw this organisation is part of WHO, a world wide respected organisation...

Read it all and you can see that all the numbers I posted are true. Actually the mortality rate after abortion is devestating!!

http://iwraw.igc.org/publications/countries/cescrarmenia.htm

And this is from International women rights watch. An organisation working with UN.

So I am not just another Turk shooting blanks eh icon_smile.gif

but...did you properly read your article?

all it says is that armenia's life expectancy used to be higher then that of europes, and is higher then any other soviet republic, the only reason it went down slightly is the earthquake..

and all these are proportions, statistics, averages..

oh I am sorry, it says

"6.6 Abortion

Abortion has been legally permitted in Armenia since 1955. It is available upon request up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. As modern contraceptive methods have not, and are yet not generally available, abortion rates are very high in Armenia. In 1990, the abortion rate was 29.6 per 1000 women of fertile age. In 1992, the abortion: live birth ratio was 1/2.5 (Table 15). A WHO survey in 1991 showed, that 63% of married women of reproductive age had at least one abortion and 6% had 10 or more.

6% had 10 or more abortions....
