An interesting April 24th experience……

On my way to the protests in LA, my friend’s father had told me a very tragic story…

He began to speak, telling me a story about his Romanian neighbor. He told me of a day when he went to their house for coffee. They began talking about politics. Currant day politics, the cold war and so on. When they reached WWII, his neighbor began to talk about a Personal story. With a strange change in the tone of his voice, he began to talk about a tragic story that had happened in his very own country during WWII when he was living there. When Germany was occupying Romania, he said that the Turkish army had been sent to Romania to keep and maintain German control in the area. His voice got deeper and hoarse, and he began to tear up. He spoke of how the Turks came to a Romanian orphanage near wear he was living. The Turks began to threaten the Romanians with rape, and destruction of his city. But they insured the Romanians that they would be left alone on one condition. They had to give all the children at the orphanage over to the Turkish army so they could be taken back to Turkey and raised as Turks. The city agreed and handed over 5,000 children to the Turkish army. Till this day those children live in Turkey, unaware of their Romanian roots.

This story was a shock to me to know that Turkafication was still being used as late as WWII.

Turks, keep in mind, this isn’t something I read online. This is from a personal account, a personal account I heard from just today.

And remember that even today, Turkish brutality and inhumanness is remembered …..

• In Italian phrases such as "bestemmia come un Turco" (translit "he swears like a Turk") were often used. One of the most infamous Italian phrase (and one much used by headline writers) was "Mamma li Turchi!" ("Mamma the Turks are coming") this is used to suggest an imminent danger. In addition, Italians regularly use the expression "Fumare come un Turco" (To smoke like a Turk).

• In French, the word Turc was once used in proverbial expressions such as C'est un vray Turc ("He's a real Turk"), used to indicate that a person was harsh and pitiless.

• When the Spanish wanted to make disparaging remarks about a person, he/she was called "turco".

• The English expression "to talk Turkey to somebody" means to give a frank opinion to the opposite party.

• The German repertory ranged from "Türkenhund" ("Turkish dog") to "Türkenknecht" ("Turkish farm-hand"), "Kümmeltürke" ("caraway Turk") and "er qualmt wie ein Türke" ("he smokes like a Turk").

GIANT MEETING FOR THE DENIAL OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN NY

Hundreds of Turkish protestors have filled the streets of New York to protest the pending Armenian genocide bill in the US Congress.

Turks holding banners that say 'stop the Armenian genocide lie' marched in New York Streets.

Protests lasted more than four hours without intervention of police.

Some protestors carried posters with pictures of Turkish diplomats who were killed by Armenian terrorist organization ASALA.

kazakstan still has many turks, do no worry my friend,..when you decide to go there, you will be welcomed.

so because turks get together and deny history, that makes their argument right???

and urartu, that's a sad story. and somehow not surprising.
since we are the day after the genocide commemoration, it is appropriate for me to say that my grandfather, who survived the genocide, never spoke about it, it was too painful for him. my uncle, who now lives in armenia, went to see my great aunt, another survivor, to learn what had happened, eventually, right before my grandfather died, he told him the story.

i posted it on the forum somewhere if you want to see it.

so...lets commemorate the victims of 1915-1923, as turk, armenian, kurd, greek, Assyrian and everybody, for it was not just an attack by an oppressive state against a native minority, but an attack against humanity...

remember 1915
never again

btw...you forgot the french expression : Tête de Turc: which litteraly means head of a turk..usually meaning a hardheaded imbecile

yah mordy, he does have a point there....

but, if you guys have been reading about my experiment with this turk..
here is a new developpement..

this is freudian theory: basically these are the ways the humain mind reacts in order to cope with a terrible action

Defence Mechanisms

 2 drives- Sex and Aggression
 Defence mechanisms defend vs, anxiety, maintain self-esteem…but distortion
a) denial..this one is obvious
b) displacement ( letting loose on a more vulnerable person after being accused)
c) intellectualisation (you try to forget it, by rationalising it)
d) projection (meaning to shift the blame on the victim)
e) rationalisation
f) reaction information
g) regression
h) repression
i) sublimation*=> turning it into something socially acceptable
j) suppression

i find it ironic....ALL of these defence mecanisms are used by turks with their involvement in the genocide...

denial, displacement: for example throwing their anger by genociding the remaining greeks and Assyrians after the genocide.
regression, repression, reaction, so on and so on.. projection: saying.."we didn't commit genocide. you armenians did against us"

freud came up with this for people in denial about themselves...
that is exactly what mordoth does.
