he meant all turkic speaking peoples of Iran, not just Azeris.

Once I was talking to one Qashqai, I loved his accent, so soft. He was claiming that his dialect has preserved best through centuries among all branches of Turkic languages. or he meant only oghuz branch? I forgot now. I dont really know if it is true, or he was just proud of his dialect. Anyway, with all these alphabets chaniging we have lost many ancient letters and sounds that existed in ancient Turkic languages. First the arabic script left out a few letters, then latin.

Yes Hanim I agree, also the Hazar coast to Turkmenistan is mostly Turkish inhabited, the Kashgay are a proud people and one of the largest Nomadic Tribes in the world.

About some of our letters being left out this is true but the sounds remain and letters are changed to suit this, maybe we should re-introduce the Uygur or Gokturk or Chaghtai Alphabets hey icon_wink.gif

The Turkish world must standardise its language and scripts which is being done in Central Asia with a BIG THANKS TO FETHULLAH GULEN.

Its only been 15/20 years since the Turkish Republics of Central Asia emerged the transformation which is happening is really amazing the unity and brotherhood that is being built up by transfering Turks from Turkey to the region and Turks from Central Asia to Turkey, building Business relations, school, universities etc is really moving us forward and one step further towards the GOAL icon_wink.gif
